01
Intake and triage
You bring the aircraft in or ship it to our Houston bench. We log the airframe, serial number, and the symptoms you describe: black screen, drifting readings, gimbal twitch, or no thermal output at all. Intake takes about 15 minutes and you get a ticket number the same day.
02
Bench diagnostics
Our tech pulls the gimbal assembly and runs the camera module on a controlled test rig. We use a multimeter and oscilloscope to check voltage at the connector, then a thermal imaging camera reference target to confirm the sensor is reading correctly. Diagnostics run two to four hours on most airframes.
03
Quote and approval
We call you with the fault, the fix, and the price before we touch a soldering station. If the repair is not worth it, we say so and quote a Houston drone thermal camera replacement instead. You approve or decline, and nothing happens until you do.
04
Repair and calibration
Approved jobs go to the bench. We replace the camera module, ribbon cable, or gimbal as needed, then run a full gimbal calibration and IMU calibration stand pass. Thermal sensors get re-zeroed against a reference source. Most repairs take one to two days once parts are in hand.
05
Flight test and handoff
Before your aircraft leaves, we fly it and capture thermal and visual footage side by side. You get the test footage, the repair notes, and a 90-day workmanship warranty. Pickup is same-day once the flight test passes, or we ship it back with tracking.
